Meet bob, a game changing water storage tank
bob is a low cost, easily transportable, 350-gallon water storage tank designed for rainwater collection at the household level. Weighing only 8 pounds and folding up to the size of a brief case it can be used to store water wherever it is needed for household use, irrigation, construction, livestock and water treatment. It comes complete with an inlet filter, support rods and replaceable liner.

This looks interesting and practical. How long of a life does the tank have? Is it constructed using any (known) harmful chemicals like BPA's? What is the cost at the store there, out of curiosity? =)

bob lasts three to five years, longer if protected from the sun. The liner which is in contact with the water is made from polyethylene the same material that is used for food containers. In Uganda the retail price for bob is about $85 with all duties and taxes paid and includes inlet filter, locking mechanism and external support.

Is it available in the U.S.? Priced the same? Need some water storage for a "Walk for the Grandchildren" from Harpers Ferry to Washington DC for late July. Can it travel on a pickup truck, or trailer? Thanks.
